Overview

This position is responsible for verifying and pulling inventory from stock and staging inventory for the saw department. Pulls and packages full sheet orders for shipping. Locates raw material by pulling and verifying materials listed on paperwork. Assists with warehouse duties as needed including shipping and receiving, cutting material using CNC panel saw and processing paperwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull orders and stage for saw department.
  • Operate Forklift to move material. Perform daily forklift checklists.
  • Load/unload LTL shipments.
  • Inspect and verify that incoming shipments are correct and received in ERP system. Assist customers in remnant/retail area and with customer pickups.
  • Process cut orders in ERP system.
  • Enter shipments in ERP system to generate packing slips.
  • Communicate any issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Operate saw to cut material per specifications on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience pulling, staging, and organizing materials to support production or warehouse operations.
  • Forklift certification and/or experience operating forklifts safely, including completing daily equipment inspections.
  • Experience loading and unloading LTL shipments and handling materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to inspect incoming shipments, verify accuracy against documentation, and maintain inventory records.
  • Experience using ERP systems to receive inventory, process orders, enter shipments, and generate packing slips.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills with the ability to assist customers with pickups and product inquiries.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report issues and collaborate with Leads and Supervisors.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate saws and use measurement tools, including tape measures and digital calipers, to cut materials accurately according to specifications.
  • Mathematical aptitude including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
